BOOK THE WEEKEND is a new series that follows a small group of adults who enjoy a fun and catered weekend reading the same book. During each episode, a new group of five individuals will arrive at a cozy, gorgeous home (usually beachfront and/or remote) and spend two days and two nights reading the book and preparing for an intimate Q&A Sunday dinner with the book’s author. Produced in the tradition of television’s most visually alluring lifestyle shows (Barefoot Contessa, After Hours with Daniel), BOOK THE WEEKEND can be described as BookTV meets HGTV meets The Food Network. Designed meticulously for the 25-54 multi-ethinic audience, BOOK THE WEEKEND is completely original and positioned to be the premier literary feast for years to come. Season One will take place in California, Oregon, and Washington, focus primarily on new releases from women (especially women of color), and bring on-camera exposure to a diverse array of creative chefs specializing in local, organic cuisine. BOOK THE WEEKEND is created and produced by host, B. Francis Clark, and begins production in 2022.
